PATNA: The Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) has invited applications for allotment of 197 acres of its land across the state for industrial purposes.
Sources said BIADA has around 200 acres of land, which has been recently retrieved through various measures, including exit policy.
“After a gap of more than a year, we have invited applications for allotment of land in the existing industrial areas. The plots have been retrieved through policy measures like ‘exit policy’ and cancellation of closed units. The process of land allotment will be completed in two months,” said a senior BIADA official.
The land offered for allotment is spread over four circles of BIADA — Patna, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur and Bhagalpur. Small plots range from 0.02 to 9.77 acre while the largest plots are in Kumarbagh industrial area at Muzaffarpur (40.34 acre) and industrial growth centre in Aurangabad (25.40 acre). Pataliputra industrial area in Patna has mere 0.20 acre on offer and there is no vacant land at Bihta.
